Penny Glackman Blog Entry from NSTA - Boston
The highlight of today at NSTA was simply, Barbara Morgan. She is an educator astronaut who was a mission specialist on STS-118 last summer. Barb was the speaker at the Aerospace Educators' Luncheon where she discussed her experience on STS-118. She described what it felt like in space, and what it looked like when the sun rose and set. We were all surprised when she introduced Sally Ride who spent some time with Barb during the Q&A session. Everyone was thrilled to have the opportunity to ask questions and hear about space exploration.
After the luncheon, I had the honor of interviewing Barbara Morgan for the Coalition of Space Exploration. She is an amazing person, who is an educator extraordinaire and extremely personable. Excerpts from this interview will be shared on this site.
